Considered to be one of the most promising Romanian singer of her generation, Rodica Vica’s virtuoso voice is highly acclaimed in her native country as well as abroad. Rodica is equally at ease with the bravura baroque style as well as belcanto and her approach to contemporary music is proof to her artistic versatility. Operatic engagements have included Violetta Valéry in Verdi’s La Traviata, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (debuting this role under the musical direction of Keri-Lynn Wilson), Norina in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Alcina in Händel’s Alcina, Zima and Fatime in Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes (in the famous Parisian production of Andrei Serban), Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Zauberflöte, Rosina in Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia, Ophelia in Rotaru’s contemporary opera In Body
