The Finnish bass-baritone Rolf Broman studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. From 2007 to 2009 he was a member of the Young Ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Between 2009 and 2011 he was a permanent member of the ensemble in “Dialogues des Carmélites” (Poulenc), “Salome” (Strauss) and Billy Budd (Britten). After a few years as a freelancer, he became a member of the Theater Bonn ensemble, where he worked as Sarastro / speaker (Mozart “The Magic Flute”), Ramfis (Verdi “Aida”), Daland (Wagner “The Flying Dutchman”), Wassermann (Dvorák “Rusalka”), Luther / Crespel (Offenbach “Les Contes d'Hoffmann”), Rocco (Beethoven “Fidelio”) and Count von Ceprano (Verdi “Rigoletto”).
