Greek-American Bass-Baritone Stephanos Tsirakoglou first studied chemistry in the USA before entering into the world of classical music. He began specializing in the Italian buffo and bel canto repertoire. Roles to his credit include Giorgio Walton, Doctor Dulcamara, Falstaff, Schicchi, Leporello, Mozart's Figaro, Don Magnifico, Don Pasquale, and both Rossini's and Mozart's Bartolo. More recently he has expanded his repertoire to include many German roles both in operette (Ollendorf in "Der Bettelstudent" and Frank in "Die Fledermaus") and opera (Biterolf in "Tannhäuser" and Beckmesser in "Die Meistersinger").
