Biography
After completing his education at the University of Northern Colorado, the lyric baritone Zachary Wilson was engaged in 2012 by Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. Among the roles performed in Heidelberg are Guglielmo in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte, Peter Besenbinder in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, and Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. He also sang Archelao in Porpora’s Mitridate at the Winter in Schwetzingen baroque festival. Zachary Wilson took part in the chamber opera evening In Meiner Nacht, where he sang the lead role in Christian Jost’s Death Knocks. He also sang the world premiere of Johannes Kalitzke’s new opera Pym as the bass in the solo vocal quartet. Recently Zachary Wilson performed Marcello in La Boheme at the Gut Immling opera festival.
