Göttingen (Handel) 9-20 maijs.  Göttingen claims to be the world's longest-standing early music festival, and features Handel's operas, sacred works and rediscoveries, together with chamber concerts, recitals and talks
Halle (Handel) 6-16 jūn.  Handel festival in the city of his birth, with operas, oratorios, concerts and lectures
Garmisch (Strauss) 8-14 jūn. 
Miskolc (Bartok) 8-17 jūn (2012).  The festival features Bartók and takes one other theme each year
Andechs (Orff) 9 jūn-28 jūl.  Staged performances of Carl Orff works in a converted outbuilding of the monastery in which he is buried

Ambronay 14 sep-7 okt (2012).  Festival of baroque music in and around the Abbey of Ambronay, using guest ensembles as well as its own Académie baroque européenne

Wexford 23 okt-3 nov.  Two week festival of lesser known operas, with three large scale works alternating daily in the new Wexford Opera House

Bregenz 17 jūl-18 aug.  Famous for its spectacular operas on the lake stage, Bregenz also hosts orchestral, chamber and theatre events in other venues around the city
Macerata 19 jūl-11 aug.  The Macerata festival is based on two venues -- the Sferisterio colonnaded arena formerly used as a ball game court, and in the Teatro Lauro Rossi
