Since her European debut in 2007 in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor, highlights of Ms. Pratt's schedule have included performances at opera theatres and festivals such as the Vienna State Opera, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Zurich Opera, and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, working with conductors such as Daniel Oren, Antonino Fogliani, Donato Renzetti, Wayne Marshall, David Parry, Nello Santi, Kent Nagano, Sir Colin Davis and Christian Thieleman.
In a busy 2011/12 season Ms. Pratt sang performances of Lucia di Lammermoor with the Israeli Opera and Teatro San Carlo Napoli, Amina in La Sonnambula as well as her solo vocal recital “La prima donna” at Teatro La Fenice, Cunegonde in Candide at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Elvira in I puritani with Teatros Cremona, Brescia, Pavia, and Como and performances of Amira in Ciro in Babalonia with the Caramoor Festival, New York and the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro.
During the 2012/13 season Jessica Pratt made her acclaimed debuts at the Verdi Festival in Parma as Gilda alongside Leo Nucci as Rigoletto, at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Lucia di Lammermoor, at the Vlaamse Opera in their New Year's Concert, as Matilde in Guillaume Tell in Lima with Juan Diego Florez as Arnold, as Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Reims, as Lisinga in
Rossini's Demetrio e Polibio in Naples, in Sevilla as Gilda, again with Leo Nucci as Rigoletto and as Verdi's Giovanna d'Arco at the Martina Franca Festival.
Engagements in 2013/14 include Amina in La Sonnambula in Bari, Gilda in Padova, Inès in Meyerbeer's L'Africaine at Teatro La Fenice, Musetta in La Bohème in Salerno, Lucia di Lammermoor at La Scala and in Amsterdam, her first Violetta in La Traviata in Melbourne, Zenobia in Aureliano in Palmira at the Pesaro Rossini Festival as well as Recitals in Tokyo and in Florence with Vincenzo Scalera.
In 2014/15 she will make her role debuts as Cleopatra in Händel's Giulio Cesare at the Teatro Regio in Turin and as Amenaide in Rossini's Tancredi at Opéra de Lausanne. Other engagements include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at La Fenice in Venice, Elvira in I Puritani in Florence, Lucia di Lammermoor at the Festival Granda in Lima as well as concerts in Milan, Bonn and London.
Her discography includes CD recordings of Rossini's Otello and Vaccai's La sposa di Messina, DVD/Blu-Ray recordings of Rossini's Ciro in Babilonia and Adelaide di Borgogna, the New Year's Gala 2012 from Teatro La Fenice, Donizetti's Viva la mamma as well as Bellini's La Sonnambula from La Fenice.
In May 2013 Jessica Pratt was awarded the prestigious international prize for coloratura sopranos “La Siola d'Oro – Lina Pagliughi”.
She completed her vocal studies in Italy with Gianluigi Gelmetti, Renata Scotto and Lella Cuberli.
British born and raised in Australia, Ms. Pratt currently resides in Como, Italy.
