Biography
Born in Russia near Saint Petersburg, where she also took her first education as a pianist. Hereafter she commenced her vocal studies at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Music and was awarded her vocal studies diploma.Ekaterina Michailova has since then sung in master classes with Galina Chimich and Dame Gwenyth Jones. She made a successful debut at the Saint Petersburg Chamber Opera as Tatjana in Eugen Onegin and had hereafter several parts in various operas. Since 1994 Ekaterina Michailova is living in Denmark. Here she has sung numerous lied recitals and concerts with several of the major Danish Orchestras. Since 2001 she has performed in various roles at the Danish National Opera. She sang Barbarina in the Marriage of Figaro, Giannetta in L'elisir d'amore, 1st Niece in Britte
