Biography
Critically acclaimed for her Ariel in Hungarian State Opera's 2016 production of Adès' The Tempest and for her Hecuba, Queen of Troy in English Touring Opera' 2014 Olivier Award winning production of King Priam, Laure Meloy joined the roster of the Metropolitan Opera, New York in the 2012-2013 season. She has performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, and Opera North. Roles include Lucia, Fiordiligi, Lulu and Zerbinetta. A keen proponent of contemporary classical music, Ms. Meloy has premiered many new works, and her voice was featured on the soundtrack of the BBC/Sony film 'Rocketmen.' Recent projects include the CDs 'One Art' and 'Sorcery & Seduction,' recitals at the Canterbury Festival and St. Pancras Church, London, and Queen of Nig
