Biography
Lorenzo Coladonato graduated from the Conservatorio G. Verdi, Milan, where he studied piano, composition and conducting. Much in demand on the operatic stages of Europe, he has made many notable debuts and has participated in master classes with conductors like Yuri Simonov, Bernard Haitink, Helmuth Rilling as well as being awarded first prize first at the fifth Blue Danube International Opera Competition (2013). He spent almost a decade at Zurich Opera House, where in 2008, he made an impressive debut with R. Schumann’s Genoveva. During his time at Zurich, he had the opportunity to work with and learn from several world-renowned personalities; in particular, Nello Santi and Nikolaus Harnoncourt; who both have played an integral part in his artistic development.
