Biography
Silja Aalto is a Finnish soprano. Aalto made her opera debut in Estonian national opera in April 2018 singing the role of Countess Almaviva in W.A. Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. Since then she has appeared as a regular guest soloist in Estonian National Opera singing the roles of Mimí in Puccini’s opera La Bohème, Leonora in Verdi’s opera Il Trovatore and latest Elsa in Wagner’s opera Lohengrin in September 2023. In October 2023 Ms. Aalto gave her debut at Finnish National Opera singing the soprano part in Verdi’s Requiem that was directed by Christian Spuck. Season 22/23 included also Mozart’s First Lady in Zauberflöte at Savonlinna Operafestival and Oulu Theatre.
