Lawrence Bakst has established himself as tenor of great vocal and musical gifts and technical mastery in a wide range of repertoire on stages in Europe and all over the world. The last decade has seen him garner rave reviews for his singing of such roles as Tannhäuser, Siegfried (Siegfried), Florestan and Meyerbeer’s Le Prophéte. He assays his first Tristan in May 2012, in Aachen, under the baton of Marcus Bosch. With a voice which has not lost beauty, extension or flexibility but has gained color, strength and size and has great endurance, Bakst looks forward to continuing singing the dramatic repertoire as well as undertaking more Strauss roles such as Aegist, Menelas and Der Kaiser..
