La création de Lucia di Lammermoor fut un immense triomphe, du début à la fin, et l’ouvrage certainement le plus célèbre et le plus populaire de Donizetti ne quitta plus le répertoire, fût-ce pendant les quelque cinquante années où le vérisme règnât en maître sur les scènes lyriques. Il le doit certainement au célébrissime air de la folie qui est à la fois le morceau de bravoure pour toute chanteuse et le moment préféré du public.

Roméo et Juliette fut créé lors de l’Exposition universelle de Paris de 1867 et son succès fut immédiat et l’accueil de la presse extrêmement favorable.

Ernest Reyer, dans « Le journal des débats », dit : « un souffle poétique passe à travers toute l’œuvre, sans la moindre faiblesse… on voit que Gounod est tout-à-fait maître de soi et, en conservant à chacun de ses personnages une physionomie particulière, parvient à composer des rôles ».

Pour servir ces deux ouvrages, trois voix exceptionnelles de la nouvelle génération : Zuzana Marková – dont France Télévisions avait enregistré la première Lucia à Avignon en 2017 -, Julien Dran et Jérôme Boutillier, avec la participation de trois des plus brillant(s) lauréat(e)s des Concours 2021 et 2022 : Léontine Zimmerlin, Benoît Rameau et Mathieu Gourlet. Tous placés sous la direction de l’un de nos meilleurs chefs de chant : Mathieu Pordoy.

The creation of Lucia di Lammermoor was an immense triumph, from start to finish, and certainly Donizetti's most famous and popular work never left the repertoire, even during the fifty or so years when verismo reigned in master on the lyrical stages. It certainly owes it to the famous aria de la folie which is both the piece of bravery for any singer and the favorite moment of the public.

Roméo et Juliette was created during the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867 and its success was immediate and was extremely well received by the press.

Ernest Reyer, in "Le Journal des Débats", says: "a poetic spirit passes through the whole work, without the slightest weakness... we see that Gounod is completely in control of himself and, by keeping each of his his characters a particular physiognomy, manages to compose roles”.

To serve these two books, three exceptional voices from the new generation: Zuzana Marková – whose first Lucia Televisions had recorded in Avignon in 2017 -, Julien Dran and Jérôme Boutillier, with the participation of three of the most brilliant laureates( e)s of the 2021 and 2022 Competitions: Léontine Zimmerlin, Benoît Rameau and Mathieu Gourlet. All placed under the direction of one of our best vocal coaches: Mathieu Pordoy.
