To inspire parents and grandparents to let their children discover the world of music and art (and lure them away from smartphones and tablets), we present a very special production of The Magic Flute : With a large orchestra and the best singers, but shortened so that it is no longer than a good children's film. The performance introduces current and future Mozart fans to all the famous melodies. And as the icing on the cake, the orchestra is brought up to eye level , so that everyone in the hall can experience the joy of the infinitely beautiful music. The Magic Flutetakes you into the opera's magical world of music, princes, princesses, mysterious wizards and an evil queen. The opera is about good versus evil – about the struggle of light against darkness. And then it's about Prince Tamino, who falls in love with Pamina, who has been abducted by the sorcerer, Sarastro. Pamina's mother, the Queen of the Night, is unhappy to have lost her daughter, so when Tamino promises her to do everything he can to save Pamina, the queen gives him a magic flute. She also gives him a companion, Papageno, who can help him on his journey with his magical chimes. Together they set out to rescue Pamina and find love. Along the way, however, Tamino must learn that it is not always easy to be sure who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. They must go through dangerous trials before the adventure can end happily.
