An opera within an opera!
Hyogo Performing Arts Center A summer tradition, an opera produced by artistic director Yutaka Sado. Many people have enjoyed the opera, including those who see it for the first time. In 2023, we will finally perform “Don Giovanni,” one of the best masterpieces by Mozart and librettist Da Ponte!

Based on the legend of the Spanish aristocrat Don Juan. The story of a man who captivates many women and falls into hell at the end of his debauchery has long been the subject of art, but the statue of Don Giovanni in this opera has an exceptional presence. Don Giovanni lived according to his desires and "would rather go to hell than repent". And the psychological description of the people surrounding him. With a fast-paced drama and lively, beautiful, and sometimes demonic music, it depicts a drama that touches the heart.

Beginning with an overture that foreshadows hell, Don Giovanni's " Champagne Song ", which sings of pleasure, " Catalog Song ", in which his servant Leporello talks about his journey with women, and a persuasion duet, " Please give me your hand ", and many other masterpieces. Riding the tact of Artistic Director Yutaka Sado, we will fascinate the viewers one after another!

オペラの中のオペラ!
兵庫県立芸術文化センター 夏の風物詩、佐渡裕芸術監督プロデュースオペラ。初めてオペラを観る方も含め、多くの方々にオペラをお楽しみいただいてきました。2023年はモーツァルトと台本作家ダ・ポンテによる屈指の名作、「ドン・ジョヴァンニ」をいよいよ上演します！

原作はスペインの貴族ドン・ファンの伝説。数々の女性を虜にし、放蕩の末に地獄へと落ちる男の物語は、古くから芸術作品の題材にされてきましたが、本オペラのドン・ジョヴァンニ像は格別の存在感を放っています。欲望のままに生き、「悔い改めるくらいなら地獄を選ぶ」ドン・ジョヴァンニの生き様。そして、彼を取り巻く人物たちの心理描写。疾走感あふれる作劇と、快活で美しく、時に悪魔的な音楽で、心に迫るドラマが描き出されています。

地獄を予感させる序曲に始まり、快楽を謳うドン・ジョヴァンニの“シャンパンの歌”や彼の女性遍歴を召使レポレッロが語る“カタログの歌”、口説きのデュエット“お手をどうぞ”ほか名曲の数々。佐渡裕芸術監督のタクトに乗って、次々に観る者を魅了していきます！
