Ilker Arcayürek's »voice of gold« helps make him one of the most versatile and exciting singers of his generation. He was born in Turkey and grew up in Vienna and started his highly successful international career after joining Zurich Opera's Opera Studio in 2009. He has thrilled audiences at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Bayerische Staatoper and Salzburg Festival and as a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater in Nürnberg. He is also passionate about Lieder and has appeared in recitals at places including the Wigmore Hall in London, the Heidelberg Spring Festival and Schubertiade in Vorarlberg. He and his long-term pianist Simon Lepper released a much admired CD called The Path of life (Prospero Classical) in 2021. Now you have the chance of hearing them both in recital at Oper Frankfurt, performing works by Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert, Hahn and Mahler.
