Garanča's voice is said to be "soft", "silky" and "exciting" (her chest register is brilliantly crafted), but at the same time it is characterized by a surprisingly rounded maturity. Opera enthusiasts and other listeners can certainly look forward to the performance of the currently most important and world-famous mezzo-soprano, Elina Garanča, who will perform in Ljubljana for the first time and with the RTV Slovenia Orchestra and under the conductorship of Karl Mark Chichon, she will present the most beautiful mezzo-soprano arias.

The artist lives in Riga, where she began studying at the Latvian Academy of Music with her mother. After the victory in Finland in 1999, her rapid artistic rise in Europe began, and after her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2003, she is an appreciated guest all over the world.

Karel Mark Chichon, recipient of the high British award Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is the chief conductor of the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserlautern and a regular guest of the world's leading orchestras and opera houses.

Operni navdušenci in tudi drugi poslušalci se prav gotovo lahko veselijo nastopa trenutno najpomembnejše in svetovno najbolj znane mezzosopranistke Eline Garanče, ki bo v Ljubljani nastopila prvič in z Orkestrom RTV Slovenija ter pod dirigentskim vodstvom, Karla Marka Chichona, predstavila najlepše arije za mezzosopran.

Umetnica je doma v Rigi, kjer je začela študirati na latvijski Akademiji za glasbo pri svoji materi. Po zmagi leta 1999 na Finskem se je začel njen bliskoviti umetniški vzpon v Evropi, po debiju na salzburškem festivalu leta 2003 pa je cenjena gostja po vsem svetu.

Karel Mark Chichon, prejemnik visokega britanskega odlikovanja Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, je glavni dirigent nemškega radijskega filharmoničnega orkestra Saarbrücken Kaiserlautern in redni gost vodilnih svetovnih orkestrov ter opernih hiš.
