Efter to år uden nytårskoncert ser Randers Kammerorkester med stor forventning frem mod årsskiftet fra 2022 til 2023, der bliver fejret med det store udtræk af orkesterfarver og højt humør. David Riddell står igen på dirigentpodiet, og årets solist er barytonen Teit Kanstrup.

Efter en uddannelse ved Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i København og ved den fornemme operaskole ved Royal Academy of Music i London har Teit Kanstrup arbejdet som freelance-sanger i Nordeuropa og USA. I studietiden sang han hovedrollen i en opsætning af Mozarts Figaros Bryllup med den berømte Sir Colin Davis som dirigent. Siden har han som operasanger favnet bredt fra de gamle opera-klassikere til den nye moderne opera. Han har således medvirket i operaer som “Dead Man Walking”, “Il viaggio a Reims” og Händels “Julius Cæsar”, hvor han sang titelpartiet.

I 2021 var han en del af Aarhus Sommeroperas opsætning af John Frandsens “Dyrets år 1666”, og på Den Jyske Opera har han bl.a. sunget i operaer som Poul Schierbecks “Fête Galante”, Ruggiero Leoncavallos “Bajadser” og Asger Hammeriks “La Vendetta”. Teit Kanstrup debuterede i 2011 i USA i rollen som Guglielmo i Mozarts “Cosi fan tutte” sammen med The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra.

After two years without a New Year's concert, the Randers Chamber Orchestra looks forward with great anticipation to the turn of the year from 2022 to 2023, which will be celebrated with the big display of orchestral colors and high spirits. David Riddell is once again on the conductor's podium, and this year's soloist is the baritone Teit Kanstrup.

After training at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and at the distinguished opera school at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Teit Kanstrup has worked as a freelance singer in Northern Europe and the USA. During his studies, he sang the lead role in a production of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro with the famous Sir Colin Davis as conductor. Since then, as an opera singer, he has embraced widely from the old opera classics to the new modern opera. He has thus participated in operas such as "Dead Man Walking", "Il viaggio a Reims" and Handel's "Julius Cæsar", where he sang the title part.

In 2021 he was part of Aarhus Summer Opera's staging of John Frandsen's "The Year of the Beast 1666", and at Den Jyske Opera he has, among other things, sung in operas such as Poul Schierbeck's "Fête Galante", Ruggiero Leoncavallo's "Bajadser" and Asger Hammerik's "La Vendetta". Teit Kanstrup debuted in 2011 in the USA in the role of Guglielmo in Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte" together with The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra.
