Flannan Obé and his merry band invite us to rediscover the inventive world of café-concert. Taking a sometimes offbeat but always sensitive and respectful look at this under-performed repertory, the four artists remind us of the permanence of human concerns, whether it be political demands, the desire for carnal love or simply the need for the marvellous and for escapism. In the space of an evening, they resurrect the spirit of the celebrities of the period. A show for all ages and tastes, where words and music cheerfully collide with each other!

Flannan Obé e i suoi allegri compari ci invitano a riscoprire il mondo splendidamente fantasioso del café-concert. Portando su questo repertorio troppo poco eseguito uno sguardo talvolta distaccato ma sempre sensibile e rispettoso, i quattro artisti ci ricordano l’attualità delle preoccupazioni umane, tra rivendicazioni politiche, desiderio d’amore carnale o semplice bisogno di meraviglia ed evasione, facendo rivivere per lo spazio di una sera lo spirito delle celebrità dell’epoca. Uno spettacolo per tutti, in cui parole e musica si incontrano e si scontrano allegramente!

C’est à la redécouverte du monde foisonnant d’inventivité du café-concert que nous invitent Flannan Obé et les joyeux compères rassemblés autour de lui. En portant un regard parfois décalé mais toujours sensible et respectueux sur ce répertoire trop peu joué, les quatre artistes rappellent la permanence des préoccupations humaines, entre revendications politiques, désir d’amour charnel ou tout simplement besoin d’émerveillement et d’évasion. Ils ressuscitent ainsi, le temps d’une soirée, l’esprit des célébrités d’alors. Un spectacle tout public où mots et musiques s’entrechoquent gaiement !
