Deze lente brengt philharmonie zuidnederland het aangrijpende Eerste vioolconcert van Béla Bartók, waarin hij een portret van zijn jeugdliefde Steffi schetst. Hartverscheurende weemoed in één viool. Heerlijk om te spelen, vindt soliste Lya Petrova, over wie de Sunday Times schreef: "Prachtig geluid, rijp en zilverachtig met een majestueuze weidsheid."
