At the court of the Sun King, the most prominent musicians met to tell stories in song, sometimes bucolic and contemplative, sometimes dark and dramatic. Mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre, accompanied by lutenist Thomas Dunford, revives the hushed atmosphere of Grand Siècle evenings with baroque works composed by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Robert de Visée, Marin Marais, Michel Lambert and Honoré d'Amruys.

À la cour du Roi Soleil, les musiciens les plus en vue se retrouvaient pour conter en chanson des histoires, parfois bucoliques et contemplatives, parfois sombres et dramatiques.
