A collection of select passages from some of the most prominent operas and zarzuelas of his particular repertoire have been chosen for this lyrical gala in which enthusiasts will have the chance to enjoy a noteworthy group of singers to whom maestro Jose Maria Moreno has assigned the most adequate pieces for their vocal skills. This has been the main criterion of the selection, together with the musical quality of each piece as a fundamental premise for the preparation of this programme. Major figures of opera, such as Rossini, Puccini, Verdi, Offenbach, Meyerbeer, Massenet and Dvořák will be present in the first part of the concert, in contrast with the second part, mainly devoted to the different types of zarzuela by renowned authors, including Marqués, Sorozábal, Serrano, Fernández Caballero, Moreno Torroba and Asenjo Barbieri,The Rose and the Willow by the admired Argentine composer Carlos Guastavino.
