The 2023-2024 season's regular concert will conclude with a fascinating Brahms program led by resident conductor Kazufumi Yamashita. "Serenade No. 1" is Brahms' first orchestral work written during his youth. On the other hand, "Piano Concerto No. 2" is a masterpiece of the prime of life that boasts a majestic appearance. Although they were created in different years, both songs play a relaxed horn tune at the beginning, and the open taste that seems to be full of sunlight can be said to be a great attraction. Kazune Shimizu will perform the piano solo for the first time in 16 years at a regular concert. Japan's first-class pianism and mature conducting fully depict the romance of Brahms.

2023-2024シーズンの定期演奏会の掉尾を飾るのは、常任指揮者・山下一史のタクトによる魅惑のブラームス・プログラムです。「セレナード第1番」はブラームスの青年期に書かれた初のオーケストラ作品。一方の「ピアノ協奏曲第2番」は堂々たる威容を誇る壮年期の傑作です。創作年代は異なるものの、両曲ともに冒頭でホルンによる伸びやかな調べが奏でられ、陽光に満ちるような開放的な味わいが大きな魅力と言えます。ピアノ独奏は16年ぶりの定期演奏会登場となる清水和音。日本第一級のピアニズム、そして円熟の指揮が、ブラームスの浪漫を描き尽くします。
