L’intrigue débute ici, à Rouen, dans la Maison Sublime, sous le Palais de justice. À partir du bestseller Le cœur converti, c’est notre histoire, entre Orient et Occident, qui se raconte sous nos yeux.

Nous sommes au XIè siècle. Vigdis, une jeune Rouennaise chrétienne, se convertit au judaïsme par amour pour David, le fils du grand rabbin de Narbonne. Elle doit fuir sa ville natale pour trouver refuge dans un village provençal, avant de s’exiler au Caire. Pogroms et fanatismes religieux se dressent alors contre la jeune Normande. Mêlant les sonorités d’Orient et d’Occident, cet opéra contemporain nous emmène dans une épopée saisissante. We are in the eleventh century. Vigdis, a young Christian woman from Rouen, converts to Judaism out of love for David, the son of the chief rabbi of Narbonne. She must flee her hometown to find refuge in a Provençal village, before going into exile in Cairo. Pogroms and religious fanaticism then rise against the young Norman. Combining the sounds of East and West, this contemporary opera takes us on a gripping epic. How not to feel close to this woman who lives an impossible love in the very city where we listen to her?
