DR Vokalensemblet og chefdirigent Martina Batič afslutter sæsonen med musik, der tager os med ud i det grønne – fra skove, enge og bakker til blomstrende haver og parker. Hør nattergalenes sang og vindens susen i trækronerne i musik af bl.a. Britten, Delius og søskendeparret Fanny og Felix Mendelssohn.
Kom med DR Vokalensemblet og chefdirigent Martina Batič ud i det grønne, hvor luften er frisk, fuglene synger og sangen har vinger!

I selskab med søskendeparret Felix og Fanny Mendelssohn hører vi nattergalenes sang og blade, som rasler blidt i sommervinden. Svenske Nils Lindberg skildrer skovbrynets lyde og duften af græs og blomster i en sen skumringstime, mens Wilhelm Peterson-Berger tager os med ud i sommergrønne bjerge, hvor unge elskende synger til hinanden hen over dalene.

Frederik Delius sender musikalske ekkoer hen over vandspejlet på en smuk sommeraften, og Benjamin Britten skaber sommerfest med fiskere, bønder og blomsterpiger, som viser deres høst som hyldest til den engelske 1600-tals dronning Elizabeth I i operaen Gloriana.

Som afslutning på aftenen præsenterer DR Vokalensemblet en buket sommerlige engelske folkesange, som viser at solskinsvejr og lyse sommeraftener trods alt ikke kan forhindre et knust hjerte eller to...

The DR Vocal Ensemble and chief conductor Martina Batič end the season with music that takes us out into the green – from forests, meadows and hills to blooming gardens and parks. Hear the song of the nightingales and the whistling of the wind in the treetops in music by, among others, Britten, Delius and the siblings Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn.
Come with the DR Vokalensemblet and chief conductor Martina Batič out into the green, where the air is fresh, the birds sing and the song has wings!

In the company of the siblings Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, we hear the song of nightingales and leaves that rustle gently in the summer wind. Swedish Nils Lindberg depicts the sounds of the edge of the forest and the scent of grass and flowers in the late twilight hours, while Wilhelm Peterson-Berger takes us out into summer green mountains, where young lovers sing to each other across the valleys.

Frederik Delius sends musical echoes across the water on a beautiful summer evening, and Benjamin Britten creates a summer party with fishermen, farmers and flower girls who display their harvest as a tribute to the English 17th-century Queen Elizabeth I in the opera Gloriana .

To end the evening, the DR Vokalensemblet presents a bouquet of summery English folk songs, which show that sunny weather and bright summer evenings cannot, after all, prevent a broken heart or two.
