Prague, Czech RepublicDaniel Čapkovič belongs to the younger generation of opera singers. He studied singing at the Conservatory in Bratislava in the class of prof. Róbert Szücs and he graduated at the Faculty of Education at Comenius University as well. He successfully participated in several vocal competitions in Slovakia and abroad (1999 laureate of several vocal competitions, 2002 and 2006 laureate of the International Vocal Competition of Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský, 2007 laureate of the Czech-Slovak International Voice Competition in Montreal). Being given the scholarship, he continued his study of singing under KS Gottfried Hornik at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. At present he works as a soloist at Slovak National Theatre Opera in Bratislava, where he creates the character of Papage
