French-Danish soprano Elsa Dreisig graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse, Paris. She was named Operalia’s Best Female Singer of 2016 and in 2019 Elsa was awarded the Danish Crown Prince Couple’s Cultural Award. Elsa’s many roles for the Berlin Staatsoper ensemble included Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Diane (Hippolyte et Aricie under Sir Simon Rattle), Gretchen in Schumann’s Scenes from Goethe’s Faust, Gretel (Hänsel and Gretel), Violetta (La Traviata) and Natascha in the world premiere of Beat Furrer’s Violetter Schnee. Elsa made her debut at the Opéra de Paris as Pamina and has since returned as Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Elvira (I Puritani) and Zerlina in Ivo van Hove’s new 2019 production of Don Giovanni.
