Alexandre Myrat was born in Volos (Greece). He discovered music at the age of thirteen, and conducted his first concert seven years later (MIDEM classique, Cannes 1970, Orchestre de Monte –Carlo, soliste Henryk Szeryng). He studied in Paris with Igor Markevitch, Max Deutsch and Nadia Boulanger, who described him as ‘born to conduct’. After the first hearing of Darius Milhaud’s l’Orestie which he conducted for Radio-France in 1976, Alexandre Myrat embarke
