Anthony works extensively as a freelance musical director, conductor, pianist, orchestrator, arranger and vocal coach, and has established an international reputation for conducting with tremendous passion born of a profound knowledge and understanding of the repertoire. Anthony is a prize winner in the biennial Blue Danube Musik Impresario (Vienna) International Opera Conducting Competition, and has worked with orchestras & companies as diverse as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the British Philharmonic Orchestra, the Guernsey Camerata, the Britten Sinfonia, the Manchester Camerata, the Abai State Kazakh National Opera & Ballet Theatre in Almaty (Kazakhstan), and the Bulgarian State Opera in Ruse & Pleven.
