Biography
From his earliest days it was obvious that Michele Kalmandy is an outstanding musical talent. He has started playing the piano at the age of 6 and soon began to play on the classical guitar as well, followed by experimenting on other instruments too. He was only 24 when he graduated at the G. Dhima Music Academy Cluj-Napoca performing the title role of Verdi&rsquos Nabucco which has since become one of his signature roles. Improving his vocal technique based on the Italian school of singing remained an important part of his daily routine ever since. His international carrier started with an appearance in Trieste’s Teatro Verdi as Nabucco, resulting in numerous invitations to major opera houses, open air stages and concert halls worldwide such as: Teatro dell’Opera Rome, Teatro di San Ca
