Bio: Aistė Pilibavičiūtė lives in Vilnius, where she received her Master’s degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in June 2015. In the winter semester of 2014/2015 academic year she studied at the University of music and performing arts Vienna under Prof. G. Lechner as an Erasmus student. Still being a student Aistė has performed on opera stage of Lithuania singing the roles of Grisette in Die lustige Witwe (National opera and ballet theatre) and Sandmann/Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel (Vilnius City Opera). In 2015 she was chosen for the 2015/2016 season trainee programme of National Lithuanian opera and ballet theatre. Here she prepared and performed the roles of Valencienne in "Die lustige Witwe", Musetta in "La boheme" and Frasquitta in "Carmen". In 2016 Aistė performed the role of Micaela in Vilnius City Opera's electronical version of G. Bizet "Carmen", that was called the "e-Carmen" (the music composed by Marijus Adomaitis, known as Ten Walls). Another roles she sang in the "Vilnius City Opera" productions are Musetta in "La boheme" and Nedda in R. Leoncavallo's "I pagliacci". In 2017 National opera and ballet theatre of Lithuania announced Aistė as the"Opera hope of the year". Since then she has performed another roles in J. Strauss' operetta "Wiener Blut" as Pepi Pleininger, in R. Šerkšnytė's opera for children "Five miracles of Mary" as Mrs. Ben and the newest one in V. Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montecchi" as Giulietta. In 2013 Aistė was a finalist of the International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition receiving a diploma and a public prize and a semi-finalist in the International Neue-Stimmen Singing Competition.
