Biography
Alexandra Yangel - mezzo soprano. After two years as an ensemble member of the Vienna State Opera, she made her German stage debut in 2019, appearing as Charlotte (Werther) at Theater Aachen. In the same year she had her Italian debut in the role of Waltraute (Die Walküre) at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and sang Nicklausse (Les contes d’Hoffmann) for Operklosterneuburg and ZweiteDame (Die Zauberflöte) at the Verbier Festival. In season 2022/23 Alexandra debuted in Munich at the Bayerische Staatsoper as Sonya (War and Peace) with Maestro Vladimir Jurowski and Dmitri Tcherniakov. In April 2023 she had her debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf as Lucienne (Die tote Stadt) and in July she sung the role of Marguerite (La damnation de Faust) at Theater Erfurt’s summer festival, Domst
