Budapest, HungaryAndrea Szántó recently sang the part of Judith( Bartók: Duke Bluebeard´s Castle) in the new production of the Art´s Palast Budapest and Shanghai, with conductor Zoltán Kocsis and director Csaba Káel. She performed the role Miranda in the new production of Thomas Adès:The Tempest at the Hungarian State Opera House. Future engagements follows: Maddalena(Rigoletto) at Summer Festival of the Hungarian State Opera House and the Mezzo-soprano part of Verdi: Requiem at the Erkel Theatre in Budapest. Andrea Szántó was born in Hungary and studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Musik in Budapest. After she completed her studies, she was engaged by the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest, than she was a soloist at the Theatre Bielefeld in Germany , than she has been engaged by the Nationaltheater
