Bio: American mezzo-soprano Annie Reilly is the recipient of a UK Exceptional Talent Visa for her outstanding promise as an emerging young artist. She is currently a member of the prestigious Royal Academy Opera programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London, training with Brenda Hurley and Jonathan Papp.
Roles include Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Fidalma (Il matrimonio segreto), Edith (The Pirates of Penzance), and Isabella (L’italiana in Algeri). In 2021 Annie will sing Dorabella (Così fan tutte) with Royal Academy Opera, Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) with Berlin Opernfest, and joins Garsington Opera as a Young Artist.
She has performed as a Young Artist with Nevill Holt Opera, Hampstead Garden Opera, Blackbird Opera, and the Merry Opera Company. In concert, she has appeared as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the BBC Symphony Orchestra Total Immersion Series, and LSO Discovery in venues including LSO St. Luke’s, Barbican Hall, and Philharmonie de Paris.
Annie is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal Academy of Music, and a previous scholarship student of the Cleveland Institute of Music.
