Bio: Artistic Curriculum Vitae of Anta Jankovska (Soprano)
Anta Jankovska - the young latvian born soprano.
From september Anta has been admitted as an effective student of L.T.L. opera studio in Italy, currently preparing the role of Hanna Glawari of Lehar' “Die Lustige Witwe” under the guidance of Nicola Paszkowski and directed by Fabio Sparvoli for the 2015/2016 season that will be set up for Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Novara opera houses. Later on 2016 she will have new role debut in Riga, LOF as Madeleine de Faublas, in Abraham's “Ball im Savoy”.
The 2015 arrived for her with two role and company debuts first as Hanna Glawari in Lehar's “Die Lustige
Witwe” in Riga, LOF (Latvia) under the guidance of Guntars Bernāts and directed by Jānis Kaijaks and more recently as Suor Dolcina in Puccini's “Suor Angelica” under the guidance of Massimo Morelli in the 61th Annual Puccini Festival, in Torre del Lago, Italy.This summer Anta was an effective student of Puccini Festival Opera accademy.
Last year she made important debut in the role of fairy Farzana in Alfredo Casella's "La Donna Serpente",
under the guidance of Fabio Luisi and directed by Arturo Cirillo, in the 40° Festival della Valle d'Itria.( Martina Franca, Italy). She was also a “cover” for the main female role of Miranda in the same production and one of the protagonists in the final Gala evening "Festa della Musica" conducted by Omer Meir Wellber, and directed by Nikos Lagousakos.
In autumn 2014 she returned in Martina Franca to take a part in Bel Canto marathon “Mille ricordi amati” a tribute to Rodolfo Celletti in the Auditorium of Fondation Paolo Grassi where she was awarded also with a grant of Rotary Club of Martina Franca.
I n 2013 she was admitted as effective student in Accademia del Belcanto “Rodolfo Celletti” of Martina Franca, in collaboration with Festival della Valle d’Itria. At the Accademia Celletti she studied with Lella Cuberli, Sherman Lowe, Carmen Santoro, Stefania Bonfadelli, Paola Pittaluga, Roberta Mameli, Vittorio Terranova and Alberto Triola.
In summer 2013 she took a part in the 39° Festival della Valle d’Itria with numerous concerts dedicated to the bicentenary of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner in the city of Martina Franca, Cisternino and Matera. The same period she joined also a famous italian pianist Francesco Libetta in a song cycle "Wesendonck lieder" composed by Wagner. In the same period she attended a masterclass of Maestro Fabio Luisi held at the Fondazione Paolo Grassi as a part of the Festival of Martina Franca.
Her operatic debut arrived in 2011 with Alessandro Nidi’s contemporary opera “Lagerblock, l’orchestra di
Auschwitz” in the Teatro al Parco, in Parma, Italy.
After it she won the audition for the role of Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro”, and the
grant offered by CRAL Cariparma Amici della lirica. In summer 2012 she made her role debut as a Countess Almaviva
in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” in Parma, prosecuting with the performances in Teatro Impavidi in Sarzana
She is also very active concert performer, she held several lieder and sacred music recitals in Italy, Latvia, Estonia and Germany the most recent on september at the Riga Dome Cathedral with organ.
Anta began her artistic career as a ballet dancer. In 1998 still being student at the school of Choreography of
Riga, she was hired in the National Opera Theatre of Latvia, she was also one of the first scholarship holders in foundation of Māris Liepa. From 1998 till 2001 she has participated in all ballet performances and new productions of the National Opera Theatre of Latvia.
In the 2004 she began her musical studies with Prof. Natalia Kozlova in the Jazeps Medins music school in
Riga. During studying time she became a winner of several national singing competitions of Latvia, like Young opera singer competition of Alīda Vāne and Young Talent Competition for a prize of Teodors Reiters. In the 2008 she moved in Italy to continue her singing studies in Parma. In the 2013 she graduated cum laude in Vocal Arts, under the guidance of Prof. Lucetta Bizzi and Prof. Carmen Santoro at the Conservatory “Arrigo Boito” of Parma.
During the studies she attended several international masterclasses:
In 2006 with Raina Kabaivanska in the Music Academy Chigiana, Siena, Italy.
In 2009 she was accepted as an effective student in a masterclass of Mirella Freni at the Universal Centre of
Belcanto (Vignola, Italy), after the masterclass she was accepted also as effective student at the Universal
Centre of Belcanto academy.
In 2010 she participated as an effective student at the masterclass of Helena Lazarska in Internationale
Sommerakademie Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria).
In 2011 she was chosen as effective student for the masterclass of Anna Tomowa- Sintow at the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival in Lubeck (Germany), where she took a part in the festival concerts at Hasselburg and at Musikhohschule Lubeck (Germany)
