Bio: Catalina Bertucci, chilean-italian Soprano. Shortly after the successful conclusion of her studies in Chile under M. Soledad Díaz, she graduated from her postgraduate studies at Hochschule für Musik Köln in the class of Prof. Barbara Schlick and from her graduate recitals with Prof. Gerhild Romberger at the Musikhochschule Detmold. She took part of Masterclasses with Andreas Scholl, Hedwig Fassbender, Angelika Kirchschlager, Margreet Honig and András Schiff, among others. As a soloist Ms. Bertucci has performed in the most important concert halls, festivals and theaters in Chile and Germany with the greatest oratorio works such of Bach, Händel, Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Rossini and Dvorak. She wins the second place, audience award and Orchestra Award at the 3. International Singing Competition „Vokal Genial“, with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester in October 2011. In Viña del Mar, Chile in 2008 she won first place, the audience award, and the prize for best interpretation of the required modern repertoire at the 35th International Music Competition Dr. Luis Sigall. Catalina Bertucci was engaged as an ensemble member at Landestheater Detmold, where she sang the most important roles of her „Fach“, and was guest singer at the Semperoper Dresden ("Feuersnot"), Staatstheater Darmstadt ("Ring des Nibelungen" and "Parsifal"), Teatro Municipal de Santiago ("Don Giovanni", "Die Zauberflöte", "The Rake's Progress", "La Bohème"), Staatsoperette Dresden (currently: "Die Zauberflöte" and "Le nozze di Figaro","Cagliostro in Wien"), Staatstheater Cottbus ("Hänsel und Gretel"), Theater Freiburg and Royal Theatre Norwich ("Parsifal"), Theater Ulm ("Der Wildschütz"), Teatro Regional de Rancagua („Don Giovanni“) and at Händelfestspiele Halle and Ekhof-Festival ("Acis and Galatea"). She was part of many CD recordings, like Mahler's 4th Symphony for the New Yorker Label "Mode"; at the Early Music Festival Knechtsteden with Concerto Köln under Hermann Max ("Luther in Worms", Label cpo), and at the Prinzregententheater in Munich with Richard Strauss' opera "Feuersnot" with the Munich Radio Orchestra under Ulf Schirmer (Label cpo). Catalina Bertucci gave in 2015 her opera debut in Switzerland as Pamina at the Opéra de Lausanne under Diego Fasolis. 2016/2017 she made her debut with the pianist Jeremy Menuhin (Mozart Concert Arias, under Vincent de Kort), with Thomaskantor Gotthold Schwarz, together with the Leipziger Gewandhausorchester and Thomanerchor at the Thomaskirche Leipzig, as well as with the Amsterdam Baroque Orchester & Choir in a concert tour with Bach cantatas, under Ton Koopman. Musetta, la casquivana enamorada de Marcello, fue cantado por la soprano chilena Catalina Bertucci, en un excelente trabajo, con gran manejo de su bella, poderosa y hermosa voz, como además se trata de una estupenda actriz, su rol cautivó plenamente al público, que le brindó una de las grandes ovaciones de la noche.

La revelación de la noche estuvo a cargo de la soprano chilena Catalina Bertucci quien en su Musetta no solo convenció sino emocionó a la audiencia. Con una perfecto dominio técnico demostró en su vals que su voz está perfecta y le imprimió un carácter juvenil y apasionado. Gracias a ella la función pasó de ser normal a tener un brillo especial. Su escena fue clave para convencernos de que su carrera está en ascenso y seria deseable verla mas seguido en nuestro país, ya que radica en Alemania.
