He earned a scholarship at the Richard-Wagner-Foundation Cologne. In addition to his vocal studies, he also studied business administration and graduated with diploma. After graduating with his opera diploma in 2007, he was a member of the ensemble at Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich and then at Theater Bremen, where he could develop a wide range of main-opera-roles. Since then he has appeared as a guest at numerous international Opera houses such as the Tokyo NNT New National Theater, the Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Teatro Massimo Palermo, the Vienna Volksoper and others. His repertoire includes Baron Ochs in R. Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, Hagen in Wagner's Götterdämmerung, Fafner in Wagner's Das Rheingold and Siegfried, Hunding in Die Walküre, Gurnemanz in Parsifal, Gremin in Tchikowski's Eugene Onegin, Timur in Puccini's Turandot and others. Christian Hübner is also a concert-singer, for example with Verdi's Missa di Requiem at the Taipei/Taiwan Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic or Handel's Belshazzar in Frankfurt or Beethoven Mass in Vienna with Franz Welser-Möst.
