Born in Italy, and raised in the United Kingdom, Connor Baiano is a British-Italian bass who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM/RAO) with an Advanced Diploma in Opera in 2021, where he studied under Mark Wildman and Ingrid Surgenor. From there he went on to study for a year at Mascarade Opera Studio (MOS) in Florence, Italy, before becoming an artist of Mascarade Emerging Artists (MEA) in 2022 - the first year of their new two-year training and development programme. Connor’s recent operatic performances include Luka in Walton’s The Bear (MOS), Dulcamara in scenes from Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore (MEA), Colline in scenes from Puccini’s La Bohème (MEA), Selim in scenes from Rossini’s Il Turco in Italia (MEA), Father Trulove in scenes from Stravinky’s The Rake’s Progress (MEA)
