Budapest, HungaryCsaba Szegedi was born in Sajószentpéter on 1 December 1981. He applied to the Bartók Béla Conservatory of Music, Budapest to train himself to be a soloist under Mária Fekete. From 2003 onwards, he carried on with his studies at the Solo and Opera singing faculties combined with a Teacher’s training programme of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music where Sándor Sólyom-Nagy was his master. To develop his skills at the Department of Vocal and Opera Studies, he took master classes of conductors Ádám Medveczky, Péter Oberfrank and of music director Balázs Kovalik. At his diploma performance in 2008, he sang the roles of Miracle and Dapertutto in the abridged version of Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann).
