Bio: Dominic is currently a member of the International Opera Studio at the Berlin Staatsoper im Schiller Theatre and is supported by a Liz Mohn Culture and Music Foundation Scholarship. This season highlights include the roles of Colline in Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’ and Sarastro in Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflöte’. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Distinction in 2014 having studied with Stephen Robertson. During his time there he won the Jean Highgate Singing Competition, represented the RCS in the Junior Kathleen Ferrier Competition, received the Von Ibbler prize for Oratorio and was a semi- finalist in the Bampton Opera Competition. Roles at the Staatsoper have included Pietro’ in Verdi’s ‘Simon Boccanegra’, Baron Douphol in Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’, both under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, and Tom in Verdi’s ‘Un Ballo in Maschera’. Previous engagements include covering the role of Banquo in Verdi's 'Macbeth' with Scottish Opera and the role of Bass Famigliari in Monteverdi's 'L'incoronazione di Poppea' with Opera North. He has performed throughout the United Kingdom as a guest soloist in works including Rossini’s Petit Messe Sollenelle, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater, Tippett’s a Child of Our Time, Handel’s Samson, Haydn’s Creation and Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
