Since his his operatic debut with Compañía Nacional de Ópera, Palacio de Bellas Artes, in Mexico City, Mexican tenor Enrique Guzmán has quickly established himself as one of the most promising light lyric tenors of his country. His repertoire includes Nemorino from Donizetti’s “L’elisir d'amore”, Ernesto in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”, Beppe in Donizetti’s “Rita”, Bardolfo in Verdi’s “Falstaff”, Don Ottavio in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Cavalier Belfiore in Rossini’s “Il Viaggio a Reims” and Sir Bruno Roberton in Bellini’s “I Puritani.” He recently made his South American debut at the Teatro Solís in Montevideo, Uruguay, as Tebaldo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e I Montecchi. While a member of The Yorke Trust Summer Opera, he sang Le chevalier danois in Gluck’s “Armide” in Norfolk, United Kingdom.
