Bio: The French soprano Fanny Crouet graduated in wealth management and business law in the university of the Sorbonne) and worked in a before turning completely towards her passion for lyrical singing, encouraged namely by Janine Reiss. She received full training in arts (violin, singing and drama) at the Conservatoire National de Strasbourg, and at the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris which she graduated from in singing and opera performance (Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution). She was also coached by Janine Reiss and stage director Mireille Larroche. She was a first prize winner at many national and international competitions, including the Sacred Music Paris competition presided by Victoria Cortez in 2008, Concours International Léopold Bellan (Excellence, 2011), the International “Clés d’Or” competition (excellence in 2011, Les Maîtres du Chant Français (Excellence 2011).On stage, she interpreted the great coloratura roles such as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Magic Flute (performed more than 80 times since 2010), the Fairy Godmother in Cendrillon (Massenet), Olympia in Hoffman’s tales, lead role in Lakmé (Delibes). She regularly performs in recitals (art songs) and in oratorios (Bach Cantatas, Fauré’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haendel’ Messiah).She has performed in Salle Gaveau, Nancyphonies, Folle Journée de Nantes, Grand Théâtre d'Angers, Villa du Châtelet, Salle Cortot, Massy Opera House Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin, Beaune, National Library of Marocco.Her world premiere recording of Leo Delibes’ melodies, with Artur Avanesov on the piano, has just been produced under the Suoni e Colori label. With a preface and introduction by Alain Duault on Radio Classique, it was presented by Gaëlle Le Gallic on France Musique. It was praised by the critics (three stars in Classica Magazine) and was awarded the Massenet prize (Orphée d’Or 2015) by the Académie du Disque Lyrique presided by Pierre Bergé.She recently recorded Delibes’ Flower Duett for the film “Marguerite” (directed by Xavier Giannoli and inspired by Foster Jenkins’ life) which was in competition in the Venice Film Festival. She is also the voice of great actress Catherine Frot in an extract from Norma by Bellini.In 2016, she has performed the roles of the Fire and the Nightingale (L'enfant et les Sortilèges by Ravel) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées (Gaël Darchen conductor) and has toured in China (Beijing Concert Hall, Beijing Century Opera Hall, Jinan Opera Hall, Shanghai Art Center Concert Hall, Henan Art Center Theater , Ghuangzhou Opera House). She has sung the solo parts in the Coronation Mass and the Exultate Jubilate by Mozart at Massy Opera House (under the baton of D. Spagnolo). She has made new recordings dedicated to Jacques Offenbach and Henri Reber (art songs and lieder).
