Bio: Starting from her debut Francesca Dotto has been recognized as one of the most promising soprano on the Italian and international scene. Born in Treviso, Francesca was educated in classical humanities and obtained a degree in Flute at the Conservatory "G. B. Martini" of Bologna, under the guidance of M° Enzo Caroli. She then attended the Conservatory “Agostino Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto, where she specialized in Vocal Studies with Elisabetta Tandura and graduated with honors and honorable mention in 2011. In the same year she was awarded the first prize at the National Prize of the Arts organized by the Ministry of Education (MIUR) and the first prize at International Contest Vincenzo Bellini.  In the 2011/2012 season Francesca gave her acclaimed debut at Teatro La Fenice in Venice as Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème under the baton of Daniele Callegari, she participated in the Finalist’s Concert of the Competition Voci Verdiane in Busseto and she was awarded the second prize at International Competition Maria Callas in Verona.  Since 2013 she took part in important productions in Italy and abroad at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festival Verdi in Parma, Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Greek National Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Festival Granda in Lima, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, NCPA in Beijing, Dresden Semperoper and Komische Oper in Berlin. Over the years she performed under conductors as Roberto Abbado, Myung-Whun Chung, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, James Conlon, Riccardo Frizza, Francesco Lanzillotta, Daniel Oren, Donato Renzetti, Daniele Rustioni, Nello Santi, Speranza Scappucci, Omer Meir Wellber and worked with stage director as Henning Brockhaus, Damiano Michieletto, Graham Vick. Francesca's schedule has included some really noteworthy productions such as La Traviata directed by Robert Carsen, La Traviata directed by Sofia Coppola with costumes created by Valentino Garavani, Don Giovanni directed by Damiano Michieletto, Anna Bolena under the baton of Riccardo Frizza, Luisa Miller conducted by Roberto Abbado and the New Year’s Concert at Teatro La Fenice in 2020. Among her future engagements we remember new productions of Ernani (as Elvira) at Teatro Municipale in Piacenza, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara and Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, and Turandot (as Liù) at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.
