Bio: Franco Kong was born in a music family in China. He won a full scholarship to study at Singhai Conservatoire ( China) and obtained his B.A degree, After he won the Norman Gristwood scholarship to study the postgraduate course at Trinity College of Music London. His opera dabut was the Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro.He has won several awards in China & the UK.He worked with Wexford Festival Opera,Dublin Grand Opera,Birminham Opera Co, Chelsea Opera Group, English Touring Opera, English Festival Opera, Almeida Opera, British Youth Opera, Clonter Opera farm, Garsington Opera, New Sussex Opera, Ahmadi Music Group ( Kuwait ), Focus Opera and London Opera player, Midland Opera ect. His operatic roles appearances include Title role of Rigoletto in Rigoletto,Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Ebn-Hakai in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Marcello & Schaunard in La Boheme, G Germont in La Traviata, Yamadori in Madama Butterfly,Ping in Turandot, Ostasio & Captain in Francesca da Rimini,Oldrich Rockycansky & Town Crier in The Brandenburger in Bohemia, Polyphemus in Acis & Galatea, Gianni Schicchi ( tittle role ) Orest in Electra, Zurga in Pearl Fishers ( Kuwait ) title role of Don Pasquale ect.He has created the role of Casper in Joe Carpenter & Son.While he did many recitals & Oratorios in UK, Ireland & Kuwait.
