Hartmut Keil

Hartmut Keil was born in Wesel on the Lower Rhine in 1978 and has been the first conductor at the Bremen Theater since August 2017. He made his debut in November 2017 with the premiere Rusalka . In April 2017 he had already conducted the new production Il t abarro / Gianni Schicchi as a guest in Bremen . At the Frankfurt Opera in September 2016, he conducted the much-noticed premiere of The Sandman by Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini, a takeover of the Basel premiere by Christof Loy. Hartmut Keil has performed regularly at the Basel Theater since 2015, where he has directed Daphne , Chowanschtschina , La Forza del destino and Don Giovanni, After studying conducting at the Würzburg University of Music, Hartmut Keil worked at the Frankfurt Opera from 2002 to 2016, initially as a solo repetitor
