Bio: Resident Conductor of La Verdi Symphony Orchestra in Milan.
After being first appointed at La Verdi Orchestra as E-flat clarinet in 1998 choosen by M° Riccardo Chailly, he starts very young to collaborate, also as solist, with several orchestras and at the same time he begins to conduct Symphonic and Operatic Orchestras until his official debut in 2011 with Mahler Fifth Symphony in Milan.
A year later he makes his professional opera debut with Andrea Chenier by Giordano and Carmen by Bizet with his Orchestra in Milan and immediately after he starts his international conducting career both with symphonic and operatic repertoire.
In 2012/13 his highlights include his Asia debut at the Otsu Biwako Hall in Japan; his South American debut at the Teatro Municipal of São Paulo; engagements with Maggio Musicale in Florence, Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca, and the MITO Festival in Milan conducting Berlioz’ Messe Solennelle, and collaborations with world class soloists including Isabelle Faust, Karen Gomyo, Francesca Dego, Natasha Korsakova, Kolya Blacher, Lylia Zilberstein, and Maximilian Hornung. In 2013, he assists Riccardo Chailly for Mahler’s Eighth Symphony in Milan.
In 2013 Bignamini opens the 20th Symphonic Season of laVerdi and the Verdi Festival in Parma with Simon Boccanegra - after which the Teatro Regio of Parma invited him to lead the next three years festival productions. The same season, he assists M° Riccardo Chailly for Mahler’s Eighth Symphony in Milan for the 20th anniversary of LaVerdi Orchestra for which for many years he was the musical conductor.
After his very first big experiences Jader Bignamini becomes in great demand worldwide as a guest conductor.
Besides symphonic concerts and the Verdi Requiem, he conducts the opening concert of the Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna with Carmina Burana with the chorus from Santa Cecilia of Rome, La Bohème at the Municipal de São Paulo and La Fenice, L'Elisir D'Amore in Ancona, Tosca at the Comunale di Bologna, La Forza del Destino at the Verdi Festival in Parma, La Bohème and Cavalleria Rusticana with L'Amor Brujo at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.
In 2015 he debuts Aida at Teatro dell’ Opera in Rome, Madama Butterfly at La Fenice in Venice. He makes his North American operatic debut with Rigoletto at the Santa Fe Opera and he debuts with a symphonic concert at La Scala.
After his success in Frankfurt in 2016 with Verdi's Oberto, Conte di San Bonifacio, Bignamini leaded an Asia concerts tour with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Among other operatic projects in the same season he conducts Andrea Chénier at the Tokyo National Opera, Traviata at Rome’s Opera with the direction by Sofia Coppola and costumes by Valentino, Traviata with the direction of Hugo de Ana at the Arena Verona, Ciro in Babilonia by Rossini at Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Madama Butterfly in Palermo, Manon Lescaut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov and gala concerts with them in Germany, Hungary and Russia.
In 2017/2018 he has invited back to Teatro Filarmonico in Verona for the opening season with Turandot, at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome with Trovatore, at Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow for the revival of Manon Lescaut, at the Arena of Verona for Madama Butterfly and in Frankfurt for Trovatore. He also debuts in Montpellier Festival for Radio France with Puritani by Bellini and in Canada and California for a concerts tour with Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Dmitry Hvorostosky and Joseph Calleja.
This season he has his debuts at the Metropolitan Opera of New York and at Wien Staatsoper with Madama Butterfly, at the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and in Budapest for a Gala night of Andrea Chenier.
Next year he will be back to Palermo at Teatro Massimo for Puritani by Bellini and to Frakfurt for a new production of La Forza del destino and symphonic concerts. Besides this he will conduct the South American Tour with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov and concerts with them in Salzburg, Germany and United States.
He wil also be back to the Santa Fe Opera Festival and to the Canadian Opera Company for operas and symphonic concerts and in Japan in tour with Teatro dell’Opera of Rome with La Traviata by Sofia Coppola and for symphonic concerts with Sendai Philarmonic orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra at Suntory Hall in Tokyo and with Osaka Philarmonic.
