After graduating from the Conservatory of Rotterdam, Jessey-Joy Spronk continued her studies both in the Netherlands and in Germany, working with various private teachers and coaches from e.g. Deutsche Oper Berlin. In 2016, Jessey-Joy made her operatic debut as Violetta Valery from Verdi’s La Traviata in Castelfiorentino with the O.M.E.G.A. Musica, after winning the role in their international competition. Soon after, she won the German International Opera Competition of Opera Classica Europe, then the Concorso Evan Gorga (IT), followed by Sicily’s 5th Concorso Lirico Internazionale Simone Alaimo di Bel Canto. These prizes resulted in numerous engagements for Jessey-Joy in the role of Violetta Valery, as well as concert-setting performances. She also appeared on stage as Michaela in Bize
