Hailed by Opera News as “radiant and riveting” and the Los Angeles Times as a singer who “can release roulades of coloratura with a shimmering sound,” rising Canadian soprano Julia Dawson enjoys increasing exposure both on the opera stage and in the concert hall. A winner of the George London Award and the Anny-Schlemm Preis, Ms. Dawson recently debuted with the Munich Philharmonic and the French Radio Symphony under the baton of Barbara Hannigan in Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, and released her first solo album, “Girl in the Snow,” songs by American composer, Scott Ordway with pianist Anna Naretto on the Acis label. After two seasons in the Opernstudio of Oper Frankfurt, Ms. Dawson joined the solo ensemble there from 2017-2019 where she sang roles including Angelina in La Cenerentola, Goffre
