Bio: I was born in Belgorod, and my grandmother introduced me to Russian folklore and Ukrainian art song music when I was a small child. My musical education began at music school, and I finally graduated with distinction from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2011. I have achieved success in several singing competitions, including finalist in the IV All-Russian Obukhova Vocal Contest in 2010. I was a finalist in the 2012 Competizione dell’ Opera in Minsk, Belarus, and won a special prize at the Latvian National Opera. I took part in the International Bruckner Festival in Linz in 2013 and went on to win third prize in the International Opera Singing Competition of Portofino, Italy in 2015. I have sung under many distinguished conductors including Yuri Bashmet, Philipp Chizhevsky, Felix Korobov, Pavel Lando, Denis Vlasenko and Daniel Montane. My past engagements have included the roles of Olga (Eugene Onegin), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Tangia (Le Cinesi by Gluck), Polina (The Queen of Spades) and Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia). My stage experience also includes productions of War and Peace by Prokofiev, when I sang the role of Sonya, and Iolanta by Tchaikovsky, singing the role of Laura. Away from singing I am a keen cook, and I’m a real expert in preparing Armenian Pakhlava ( honey pastry with hazelnuts)! Last update: 2019-12-30 07:19:29 +00:00
