Biography
Born in Geneva, Laura Andres started singing at a very young age in the children' choir of the Grand Théâtre de Genève. She studied singing and teaching at the Music Academy of Lausanne (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne) where she completed a Bachelor's and a Master's degrees, before pursuing her studies in the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel. She sang Second Woman and First Witch in Dido and Aeneas in Geneva in 2008. The same year she was Anne in a production of Douce et Barbe-Bleue (by Aboulker). In 2015 Laura Andres was cast as Mme Balandard in Offenbach's Monsieur Choufleuri in Geneva, as well as Mrs Julian in an acclaimed production of Britten's Owen Wingrave at the Theater Orchester Biel. She sang again in a production of Dido and Aeneas in 2016, as Belinda, at the Touno Festival (S
