Bio: Levent BAKIRCI was born in Ankara. Recently he made his debut at Teatro La Fenice Venezia with "Omaggio a Stravinsky" concert at San Marco Basilica under the baton of Markus Stenz, at Teatro Carlo Felice Genova with "Da Ponte and friends" concert at Teatro Olimpico Vicenza, at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as "Il prigioniero" by Luigi Dallapiccola under the baton of Michael Boder, at Teatro Municipale Santiago de Chile as "Don Giovanni", at Festival Verdi Parma as "Barone Kelbar" in "Un giorno di regno" by G. Verdi, at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as "Graf von Gloucester" in the piece "Lear" by Aribert Reimann under the baton of Fabio Luisi, at Seiji Ozawa Festival in "Eugene Onegin" under the baton of Fabio Luisi, with Orquestra Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico as "Alberich" in the piece "Das Rheingold", at Staatstheater Nürnberg as "Lescaut" in the piece "Manon" by Massenet. In may 2017 he made his debut as "Captain Ahap" in "Moby Dick" at Teatr Wielki Warsaw and in july 2017 as "Mercuzio" in the "Romeo et Juliette" by Gounod with Münchener Rundfunk under the baton of Keri Lynn Wilson. In 2015 he made his debut at Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse in "Il Prigioniero" (title role) by Luigi Dallapiccola. Levent was a prize winner in Aslico competition and semi finalist in Operalia, Competizione dell'opera Dresden, Neue Stimmen competition, Belvedere competition etc... He was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Nürnberg from 2015 till september 2018 where his roles were Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles, the title role of Don Giovanni , Marcello in La Bohème, Il conte d'Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Escamillo in Carmen, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Taddeo in L'Italiana in Algeri, Donner in Das Rheingold, Andrey Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov. Other appearances have included Cahit in Gegen die Wand at Oper Stuttgart, Cecco in Il mondo della luna at Teatro Verdi Trieste, Eugene Onegin and Dr.Falke in Die Fledermaus at Theater Bielefeld, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Theater Aachen, Eugene Onegin at Theater Koblenz and NWD Philarmonie, Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor in IVAI Tel Aviv, Belcore in L'elisir d'amore and Starek in Jenufa at Istanbul Stateopera and Un mandarino in Turandot at Ankara Stateopera, Andrey Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov at Theater Lübeck. He was a member of the Academy of vocal arts (AVA Philadelphia) and Accademia d'arte lirica Osimo. Levent is a graduate of Mechanical engineering department of Middle East Technical University Ankara. His future engagements are Rigoletto (title role), Manru (Urok) by Paderewski and Der Traumspiel (Der Advokat) by Aribert Reimann at Bühnen Halle on 2021/2022.

Artisti di grande livello hanno saputo integrarsi e reagire alle forti "provocazioni" registiche in maniera sublime; nel ruolo eponimo il baritono Levent Bakirci ha sapientemente delineato sia con il fisico che con la voce il personaggio nella sua totalità; il canto si è fatto preghiera, lamento, speranza, disperazione con una partecipazione emotiva che mi ha coinvolto intensamente; ha modulato con la voce tutte le emozioni mettendo in risalto l'eleganza di un fraseggio seppur discontinuo come richiesto dalla partitura, ma anche la capacità di saper gestire con fermezza i difficili intervalli musicali non perdendo mai di vista l'obiettivo drammaturgico e le esigenze sceniche in cui ha saputo mirabilmente amalgamarsi offendo il suo corpo alla compagnia di danzatori che lo hanno fatto esprimere in maniera molto suggestiva e realistica di pari passo con la voce.
